Our neighbors in the east, the East Bay Front Runners & Walkers, are celebrating Pride 2021 with a (virtual) pride run of their own.
If you decide to join the fun: BayLands FrontRunners is offering the opportunity to walk or run in this event on Saturday, October 16 with other BLFR club members and friends. The event will start after our usual Saturday 9am Circle-Up at Palo Alto Baylands Athletic Center. Participants will use the 5k loop that starts and ends at the Baylands Athletic Center, with 10k runners running the loop twice.
East Bay Front Runners & Walkers‘ 17th Annual Pride Run and Walk will be virtual this year due to the Covid-19 pandemic. You will have from Saturday, October 09, 2021 to Sunday, October 17, 2021 to complete your distance. Kickoff will be on Friday, October 8, 2021. There will be a 5k walk, 5k run & 10k run. You can complete your race anywhere you would like. Please do it safely and follow CDC guidelines for outdoor activity. Registration is only $20. Please send your result no later than Tuesday, October 19, 2021. No refunds or exchanges. Proceeds benefit The Pacific Center of Berkeley, the Oakland LGBTQ Community Center & East Bay Front Runners & Walkers. All participants will receive a BIB#, $5 off coupon for next year’s race, 20% off shopping at Sport’s Basement in Berkeley, 20% coupon code for Road ID, Finisher Certificate & Finisher Ribbon. Print out your virtual Bib and send us a photo of you wearing it. We’ll post it on our website and social media. Celebrate National Coming Out Day on October 11, 2021.
